Combined equity commitments exceeding $8 billion necessitate that American Securities Funds focus on equity investments of $100 million to $500 million in each company. However, American Securities has two affiliates that make smaller investments. Each affiliate fund has its own investment strategy, dedicated pool of capital and investment professionals but each shares our values.
Our affiliates include:
American Securities Opportunities Advisers (“ASOA”) seeks to invest in companies that are either in financial distress or trading at discounted levels. American Securities Opportunities Fund I, $303 million, was formed in 2006 in anticipation of an increase in supply of distressed investment opportunities. ASOF II closed in 2011 with $753 million of committed capital and is actively deploying this capital.
ICV Partners invests in lower middle-market companies with annual revenues between $25 million and $100 million. ICV understands the value of moving rapidly in the small and mid-sized business environment and utilizes a proven approach to close transactions quickly and minimize disruptions in day-to-day operations. ICV is currently investing from a $313 million pool of committed capital.
